A Catalyst for the Advancement of Education
The Lowell F Hawthorne Foundation (LfHF)was established in 2018 to develop endowment funds in the United States and the Caribbean and to aid in the funding of scholarships for outstanding students in underserved communities. Lowell through Golden Krust did not only assist students in the United States but also provided scholarships to outstanding students at Kingston College and his Alma Mater - Oberlin High School, St. Andrew Jamaica. In 2010 he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of the West Indies, to the tune of US$100,000 which is being disbursed over a period of eight years to undergraduate students pursuing the Social Sciences.
