Omar Hawthorne is the Director of Franchise Development & Community Affairs for Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery Since joining Golden Krust in 2007, he has served, the Real Estate and Marketing departments and now holds the position as the Director of Franchise Development & Community Affairs. As the Director of Franchise Development & Community Affairs he communicates with potential franchisees, administers franchise contracts and disclosure procedures, maintains legal compliance with all federal and state specific franchise sales regulations.

He also serves as the interaction point for prospects inquiring about franchise opportunities and interprets demographic information and mapping that will allow for easy identification and evaluation of appropriate territories for the development.
His love for business and the expertise developed while working with his father and CEO, Lowell Hawthorne has led him to become a Certified Franchise Executive. His training and sharp communication skills has made him a most valuable assistant to the Marketing Department in the areas of community involvement and philanthropic programs.
He has been called upon on many occasions to represent the CEO at several corporate and social events.

Omar served on the company’s ‘Think Tank, ’ an advisory group to the President which is comprised of enterprising and bright young people. He also serves as a member on the Board for the Society for the Advancement of the Caribbean Diaspora, an organization, which seeks to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the people of the Caribbean, identify and encourage wealth building, lifelong education, self- development and personal responsibility through networking opportunities, educational seminars, conferences, community projects, humanitarian efforts, and charity.

Omar’s vision is to aspire to become one of the top executives of Golden Krust. He believes that as an executive, he will be able to utilize his skills experience and training to advance the company’s future growth and development and to further expand the philanthropic arm of the organization.
